The Great Indian Culinary Challenge (GICC), an initiative by Express Food & Hospitality to showcase Indian culinary talent is nearly a decade old and is an industry benchmark. GICC was until now being held in the metro cities alongside our HoReCa exhibition, Express Food & Hospitality Expo.
Now we have decided to spread our wings and take GICC to a wider audience of professionals and students especially in the Tier 2 and 3 cities where the talent remains unexplored. That is the vision behind The Great Indian Culinary Challenge (GICC) Series
The GICC Live Series will be held in Hospitality Institutes across India, especially in the smaller cities which are food hubs and also home to immensely talented chefs. As a national Media publication, our aim is to nurture the chef community in the country. The strategy to organise the series in Hospitality Institutes is to give students an opportunity to meet and connect with chefs from the industry and have real time experience of a Live competition.
They are aimed at introducing future chefs and professionals to a world beyond the kitchen. These sessions will be performed by professionals carefully selected by our panel.
